Impressed by the piety of Sheikh Abu Saeed Abu Al Khair Fazal Ullah, Abu Muslim Faris Bin Ghalib came to pay him homage. He got surprised to see Sheikh Abu Saeed wearing white elegant clothes, an expensive Egyptian shawl and enjoying by resting his leg on the other, apparently in a very proud manner. On the other hand, Abu Muslim was wearing worn out clothes, his body was looking pale due to too much spiritual strivings. Vexed he started talking to himself. “I am a dervish too. I am having hard time worshipping Allah Almighty day and night while he is enjoying a lavish life style.” Abu Saeed reading the facial expressions of Abu Muslim said, “O Abu Muslim, which book have you read in that wearing elegant clothes and eating good food is prohibited in Shariah. And how come a man wearing an elegant dress, living a happy life cannot be called dervish. When I thank Allah Almighty for His blessings and obeys Him, He blesses me with throne and luxuries. And you never ask Allah Almighty of the things you deserve and reamins content sitting on earth and wearing worn out clothes. I thank Allah Almighty while you worship. Thanking Allah Almighty is a better form of worship.” Abu Muslim listened silently. He felt ashamed and learnt that a person cannot be judged by his appearance. One can be close to Allah Almighty by fulfilling all the needs and rights of his family, relatives and body despite abandoning everything.
